How StockDigest works, what each number means, and how to change it.
Getting started
How the numbers work
- How StockDigest works out days left and reorder amountsStockDigest works out days left and reorder amounts with plain arithmetic, shown here step by step with a worked example you can check.
- Lead time, cover days and the low-stock levelLead time, cover days and the low-stock level decide what gets flagged and how much to reorder, and each has a default you can change in Settings.
- Suppliers and the Vendor fieldStockDigest uses each product’s Vendor field as its supplier, and you can set a different supplier for any product in StockDigest’s Settings.
- How stock on the way is countedStockDigest counts stock as on the way only once a transfer is marked in transit, and takes it off the reorder amount without hiding the product.
- The not-selling reportThe not-selling report lists in-stock products with no sales in the last 60 days, in the daily email and on the Dashboard, on both plans.
Emails and history
- The daily email: recipients, timing and unsubscribingThe daily digest email goes to up to 3 confirmed addresses on Growth or 10 on Pro, once a day at your digest time, and anyone can unsubscribe.
- The AI highlights: what they say and how they’re checkedA few AI-written lines at the top of each digest point out what to act on first. Here’s what the model sees, what it writes and how it’s checked.
- Digest historyEvery daily digest is saved in the app. Growth keeps 90 days and Pro keeps 1 year. What each saved digest shows, and what a plan change does to it.
Pro features
- Instant alerts (Pro)On Pro, StockDigest emails you within about 5 minutes when a product that sells runs out, or will run out before a restock could arrive.
- Stock per location (Pro)On Pro stores with two or more locations, StockDigest also flags products running out at one location and suggests moving stock from another.
Account and data
- Plans, trial and billingStockDigest has two plans: Growth at $19 a month and Pro at $39 a month. Both start with a 14‑day free trial and are billed through Shopify.
- Your data, and what happens when you uninstallWhat StockDigest reads from Shopify, what it stores and for how long, what it never stores, and what’s deleted when you uninstall the app.
